This is an interesting stone besides being beautiful . Its tone graded, spicy green, is richly displayed at both ends, do to the optics of the stone.

This attractive and interesting emerald cut is not a bicolor or tricolor. It is just one bright acid green color displayed along the long axis of the stone from very pale to a dark tone. There is a darker end in the emerald cut, next to the pale part, that comes from what I call the pagoda effect. The color comes from the dark end and the stone guides the green color down the long axis of the stone to the lightly toned end where it emerges from the gemstone. This effect can be strong enough to make you think that both ends of a graded gemstone like this have the same tone value of the color.
This spicy emerald cut is exciting up close and provocative from a distance. It is eye clean and has great crystal. It weighs 3.32 carats and would make a really creative piece of jewelery.
