This standard round brilliant has a darker than desired tone level. Its restrained flash shifts from pink to orange as it is placed in and out of the sun. It appears to be eye clean and weighs 2.53 carats.
Not all browns are created equality and many dealers probably don’t care because once a stone is dominated by brown it becomes a vile creature. It is called dravite, a name that sounds vaguely like an ancient language and left for tourmaline nuts to find. Fortunately the nuts ususually don’t have to pay too much much for their discoveries.
This medium dark standard round brilliant has very restrained flash due to its dark tone level. But threw her dark brown nature you can still see that she it shifting from a pinker flash to an oranger flash as it goes in and out of the yellow sunlight, from the shade. I think that there are probably good wood names for both shades of brown, but since I am not really very knowledgeable about exotic woods, they will stay brown. The stone appears to be eye clean and weighs 2.53 carats. She is happy to find a home that appreciates her.
