I love yellow without green or brown in tourmaline. The standard round brilliant has a multitude of tiny inclusions that don't flash, but that doesn't dull my ardor. It weighs 1.89 and is a droplet of color.
This round is barely within the upper bounds of weigh in being a droplet. But its color would demand some flexibility, even if it had crossed the line. Yellow without green in a medium tone level or higher is one of the rarest combinations in the collection.
This beautiful standard round brilliant is loaded with fine inclusions that don’t flash, but give a bit of a hazy appearance to an otherwise brilliant piece of eye candy. It was cut from two water worn pebbles that I got from East Africa years ago. Even before the discovery of canary tourmaline and the revelation of bright yellow tourmaline for the commercial world. The yellow color is well saturated without green or brown problems. It is of medium tone level, which makes the gemstone quite exceptional despite its inclusion. It weighs 1.89 carats and shines as a larger droplet of color.
