This emerald cut has it all and weighs a nice 2.47 carats. Its eye clean body, touched by pink, could satisfy anyone thirst in the morning and later if you run dry..
I reignited my faceting adventure because I wanted tourmaline in all its colors. One of the colors I wanted the most was orange. Not the browned oranges of Dravite infamy, though they were welcome, but pure and fruity pleasures. Well sometimes effort is well paid off and this emerald cut is so together it is amazing. Not a flaw in its great crystal heart and emerald cuts are very revealing. An orange brimming with pink highlights, in a medium dark tone that reminds me of the Pad (a pink orange sapphire that is mostly from Ceylon) of sapphire fame. Why this tourmaline color tribe does not get more respect (higher prices) is beyond me. Maybe there just isn’t enough of it for the Trade to merchandise it. I don’t even have a TV in the house, that works, so I am missing all those specials on such fantastic gems. This special little jewel weighs 2.47 carats and will never be asked to leave the collection by me.
