This small oval has a dynamite yellow without a green of brown cast. It is included, but the color keeps singing. It weighs .64 carats and not damage by the inclusions too much.
This is the final stone that I cut from two large alluvial pebbles that I bought off the inter net years ago. The pebbles were completely frosted and were not expensive because of the numerous flaws that render the material semi-facet at best. Still it was a color I did not have and I have never gotten the equivalent since. For a saturated yellow without a hint of green or brown, you have to go included many times. I was very pleased with the color, after I ground off the surface and I could see a structure to the flaws. Well, after a lot of careful grinding and cutting with the diamond saw I did not have any clean preforms. Still the color had kept radiating, even after the rough had gotten smaller and I was excited by their prospect. In the end, I would say my success is spelled out by my treasuring all of them I cut. One person’s treasure may not be another one’s treasure, so yellow in tourmaline may not be your cup of tea, but none of the finish gemstone are really damaged by their flaws. Satisfaction! It weighs in at .64 carats.
