This standard round brilliant appears to be eye clean and of fine crystal. Its medium toned yellow green color flashes nicely. It weighs 1.71 carats and fits right in with the droplets.
When I venture out into the world of tourmaline rough for sale, I do not really think about what I want, rather what I have an opportunity to buy. If I am able to make a tentative list of possible purchases, that exceeds my bottom line, then I begin to cull out rough that is either too expensive or similar to what I have already cut. This kind of falls apart when I get to the less expensive material, because even if I know that I have the color, but it attracts me, it is hard to turn down. So where am I, ah, my collection of tourmaline is far from representing the amounts of each color out there. And having to go threw posting comments for my whole collection has focused me on my passions and opportunities over the years. Yellow with a modest amount of green is certainly one of them.
This modest yellow green droplet of color represents a relatively available color that I jump on. They are more on the yellow side than green and out of a list there will not be a large number of them, but their cost is modest. So I get them and enjoy them and they help keep me cutting. This standard round brilliant appears to be eye clean and weighs 1.71 carats.
