This oval is appreciated more for its decent muted purple color, that can turn browner depending on the light, than its optical properties. The non cuprian gemstone has a noticeable feather that is perpendicular to the table. The moderate tone level of this unusually colored tourmaline does not hide the feather very well. The gemstone weighs 2.86 carats.
