Tourmaline Trays

I love this gemstone in ways no one else can appreciate. When some tourmaline from Mozambique was found to have copper, as a chromophore, the prices of the material escalated quickly. Also the availability of quality material decreased rapidly, I went with the flow and kept buying colors that I liked, included or not. The rough for this beautiful round, to me, was a mess. But it was big enough that I could manage to get a very nice bright, relatively clean, Laurellite round out of it. I lost a lot of material, but the discovery that it was a Laurellite, reverse Alexandrite color changer, was certainly enough to placate me. I particularly like it's medium tone level and that the inclusions don't flash.
